Effects of Graded Levels of Dietary Protein and Energy on the Performance of White Pekin Ducklings

Two experiments were undertaken to study the effects of graded levels of dietary protein and energy on the performance of growing meat-type ducklings. The results of Experiment 1 indicated that meat-type ducklings. gave satisfactory weight gain and feed utilisation on starter and finisher diets containing 18 percent protein with 3.00 Meal ME/kg. There were no marked differences in performances characteristics obtained from eight week old ducklings by feeding them isocaloric diets with a wide range of protein concentrations (16 to 24 percent).
